Britain's Best Buildings Back to Home A number of prestigious projects recently completed by Thomas Barnes and Sons PLC have been featured online in Prospect Magazines Britain’s Best Buildings feature and are available to view now at www.bestbuildings.co.uk
Britain's Best Buildings aims to highlight the best in the built environment throughout the UK and encourages anyone - from the general public through to industry professionals - to submit projects of architectural merit. The buildings represent the cutting edge of British architecture and a selection will soon be published in a series of regional books, commencing with the North West in October 2009.
The projects chosen from Thomas Barnes and Sons PLC include Liverpool Dental Hospital, Grizedale Bar at Lancaster University, Ripley St Thomas Sixth Form in Lancaster and Durran Hill Police HQ in Cumbria which achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and was recently presented with the Highly Commended Award at the North West Regional Construction Awards 2009.
Britain’s Best Buildings was launched by Prospect Magazine and www.architecturescotland.co.uk as a means of expanding the highly successful Architecture Scotland Annual format into the English market.
