Barnes was appointed in 2007 on a D&B basis following a design competition with Taylor Young, DSSR and Giffords to create an exemplar building that addressed sustainability as its top priority.

The £7.1 million HQ represents the largest capital investment in the police authorities history and unites offices that have been spread across the district.

The new premises are now the base for senior management teams, C.I.D, Carlisle City Policing Unit and Civillian Support, along with various operational support unity for the road Policing Unit and Tactical Units.

Refurbishment and extension to listed building executed on a D&B basis. Works included raise access flooring, toilet refurbishment, office partitioning, re-decoration.

The project managed by Capita was on behalf of BBC TV Licencing & the Criminal Records Bureau.

Phase 1 - 4th floor procured via competitive tender

Phase 2 - 5th floor appointed on negotiated basis

Phase 3 - 4th floor extension appointed as above

 

Network 61, Bolton

This is a provision of seven office units in three two storey blocks. A steel framed structure founded upon a network of piled foundations and insitu concrete pad foundations and groundbeams.

 

SES Unit 2 Southport

Programme:

The 2 storey 9,000sft building will be steel frame portal structure with metal roof and wall cladding with curtain walling.

Internally the building will be open plan with computer flooring, suspended ceilings mechanical and electrical services including a lift and finally fitted out to the clients specification, along with external landscaping and parking facilities.

 

Stopford House

Phased over 3 years

From initially securing the £300,000 ph 1 refurbishment with Stockport MBC we are now on ph5 of a rolling programme at Stopford House.

The refurbishment contract to date is nearing £3 million pounds and is being undertaken by decanting staff from the north side of the building to the south side whilst the renovations take place and vice versa within the multi storey building.
